- The Montreal Job and Training Fair was proud to host exhibitors who came from a long way to recruit people. From the remote reaches of Quebec’s Great North, the Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord Ouest and SOFA Yukon was present at the event in order to tell you about their respective regions… Another organization with the same objective is the Assemblée communautaire fransaskoise.(Top)
2006
- Once again this year, numerous candidates came to meet the exhibitors. The 25 /44 years old account for 65% of the visitors and they possess an interesting and varied working experience. They wish to change jobs, to “re-career” or go into business. Less than 24 years constitute 32% of the clientele of the Montreal Job and Training Fair. Common denominator: all pursue the same goal: to improve their situation. When questioned for this purpose, 88 % of the candidates are ready to leave their job if it means securing a position they consider ideal.

- The Montreal Job and Training Fair continues to be the premier choice for those seeking jobs or training. Entrepreneurs and applicants are all agreed: human contact and face-to-face meetings are still the best way of bringing together jobs and their future incumbents! (Top)

- The Montreal Job and Training Fair celebrates its 25th edition with a rich and innovative program. Several original and efficient recruitment activities are on the program. SpeedJobbing recruitment sessions will be organized on the spot, and will regroup motivated and pre-selected job hunters for 3-minute interviews with participating firms. Job hunters present at the Fair will be allowed to record for free a CV VIDEO with VoiceJob recruitment firm. Also a space has been reserved for the new AgentSolo.com Pavilion, in an effort to ease negotiations between self-employed workers, contract employees, and the companies requiring their professional services. Agents, speakers, and several other exhibitors will be present.

Credited with spearheading the event and actively contributing to its rapid growth until its peak in 2001, Maud Allard reappears to acquire what she describes as her “favourite project.” “The Salon Emploi-Formation was my greatest professional achievement until last May, when I fulfilled a long-held dream: I bought it!" says Allard.
