Who are our candidates-visitors?

Why do 19,000 people make their way to the Montreal Job and Training Fair, and who are they?

At a time when people’s lives are more hectic than ever, when time constraints and work-related stress are a way of life, various options—a new job, a training course adapted to the current job market, self-employment—can often provide a solution.

The Montreal Job and Training Fair reflects the realities of the job market, or at least its most active sectors. More than 40% of candidates-visitors to the event are already active on the job market and looking for a personalized gateway to the future. The vast majority are prepared to invest time and money in a specialized training course that will allow them to benefit from a range of opportunities likely to improve their situation. More than three quarters of visitors are also willing to move if it means securing a position they consider ideal.

No less concerned with job market fluctuations are employers and teaching institutions, which explains why more than 150 take part in the Montreal Job and Training Fair from one year to the next. All are well aware of the Fair’s reputation and effectiveness when it comes to finding job seekers and training candidates who meet their criteria.

Candidates-visitors, for their part, take the time the come to the Fair. This speaks volumes considering the time constraints that many are under nowadays and the accessibility of the Internet, where job information is only a click or two away. People come to the Montreal Job and Training Fair in the knowledge that face-to-face contact is still a sure value!

The time has long since past when people contented themselves with their situation. Many are now eager to find the solution likely to improve their lives, and the Montreal Job and Training Fair gives them just that opportunity.
